The “Crossroads of Flagler County,” Bunnell was incorporated in 1913 and has served as the county seat since the Northeast Florida county was established in 1917. The community grew up along the railroad system Henry Flagler established to transport passengers and goods throughout the state and lies along U.S. 1 west of Interstate 95.
With historical roots reaching into ancient native cultures and both the Spanish and British ruling periods, the area is known for its agricultural and timber products. Bunnell, with a population of 2,741 in 2013, offers residents a small-town atmosphere adjacent to its larger neighbor, Palm Coast to the east.
Flagler Playhouse - located at 301 E. Moody Blvd, it offers theater productions for audiences throughout the year. Drawing on the Flagler County population, the shows offer opportunities to work onstage and backstage.
